Exercise Does Make You Tired
Remember, adults get tired after exercise. Well, so do children. Instead, of starting the class right as the kids walk in the door, how about having a cooling down period instead. At the end of class, have about five minutes for the kids to settle down and breathe so that you don’t send them back to their parents all pumped up. While exercise makes them tired, for a bit after exercising they will be primed and ready to go.
Whisper to Get Attention
Shouting to get the attention of your yoga class is only going to make your throat sore, and your head ache. Happy teachers who teach yoga for children know that you get more results with a whisper or better yet, let the props you set out or the music you start playing speak for you, and you won’t have to make a sound.
